Support Master Ransilu get his Bone Marrow Transplant
Ransilu Sithumeth, aged 6, was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia in 2019 and underwent a bone marrow transplant in 2019 which then failed and has led to multiple hospital admissions. Professor Lalindra Gooneratne, consultant Haematologist had suggested a second bone marrow transplant last year however due to multiple complications this has been pushed to happen within the next few weeks. Ransilu is currently admitted to the hospital once again. He is in isolation undergoing different tests and treatments while awaiting his second bone marrow transplant.
Aplastic Anemia is a rare and serious condition where your bone marrow fails and is unable to produce any further blood cells. The ultimate treatment option is a Bone Marrow Transplant.
Over the last few years his treatment costs have been extremely high and the family is struggling to get the treatment costs sorted. The estimated costs of the bone marrow transplant is LKR 7.5 million alone, while the remaining costs add up and a total of LKR 10 million is required for now.
